Tadataka Tadata (只田 忠孝(ただた ただたか), Tadata Tadataka) is the third year student council president of Kamioka East Middle School and an ally of Kazuya Kagami's Personal Advice Club.

Appearance[]

Personality[]

History[]

Tadataka claims to have liked Kazuya Kagami since elementary school, suggesting he has known Kazuya since then, though Kazuya does not remember him. He claims to be not homosexual, stating his love for Kazuya is specifically for him.[1]

Plot[]

Introduction Arc[]

Tadataka is overcome by his feelings for Kazuya Kagami and taken over by his wig amasogi. While dressed as a female student, the wig attacks Kazuya on the roof after school, resulting Kiriha's reawakening and reunion with Kazuya. Kiriha destroys the wig and leaves the unconscious Tadataka with Kazuya where they are found by a passing teacher.[2] Some time after, Kiriha visits Tadataka to explain the amasogi incident to him and he suffers baldness as a result of Curse Backlash.[3]

Local Exorcist Arc[]

Tadataka calls Kazuya to his office during school, where Kazuya fails to immediately recognize him. After brushing his hair down, Kazuya recognized him from the wig amasogi incident and Tadataka apologizes while confessing to Kazuya his feelings. Kiriha pops out of Kazuya's bag and they return to the topic at hand, where Tadataka explains to them reports of monsters from the TRPG club who have been using the social studies room without permission and later reports of the room having disappeared. They head to the room's location with Osamu Osanai joining them along the way, to find the rumors of the room having vanished were true. They encounter and unusual dead end where they are met with Nakajima, who demand Tadataka sign a form to officially recognize his club. Tadakata refuses and Nakajima summons a minotaur to chase after them. They find themselves cornered in a lab room, where Tadataka and Osamu use water hoses to wash away the minotaur, weakening it. Kazuya ambushes the minotaur with a fire-extinguisher, erasing its arm. When they try to erase Nakajima's false walls to escape they encounter another wall and run out of extinguisher liquid. Having been cornered by Nakajima agains, Tadataka prepares to admit defeat and apologizes for involving Kazuya in his affairs. Before Tadakata can do so, Kazuya defeats the Minotaur and they confiscate Nakajima's amasogi notebook.[1]

Tadataka calls Kazuya to his office once again, along with Osamu and Chisato Chikaishi. As they enter the room, Tadataka trips and his wig falls off and Kiriha explains it to be the result of his curse backlash. Tadataka tells the group of rumors of the ghost of Eiko Nago appearing among the students and sends them investigate. After gathering some information, Tadataka jots down it down on a whiteboard and review. They go to investigate members of Yuuichi Nishina's fanclub where they encounter Nanako Nanakai harassing Yuu Osakabe. After speaking with Nakano a bit, a figure resembling Eiko appears and attacks Yuu.[4] Kazuya defends Yuu, forcing it to flee. They bring Yuu to the nurse's office where they ask her more questions about Eiko. Returning to Tadataka's office, they once again review their gathered information so far. One of Tadataka's underclassmen arrives with some information they have gathered, revealing Eiko's younger sister to be enrolled at the school, revealing it to be Nanako. The group rush, with Kazuya and Kiriha speeding ahead.[5] By the time Tadataka, Osamu and Chisato arrive, Kazuya has already defeated the amsogi.[6]

Sunao Sumeragi Arc[]

After the incident with Eiko, Tadataka reviews with the group a summary of the case. Nanako arrives, revealing she has suffered muteness as a result of her curse backlash, telling Kazuya not to blame himself. The group disperse, and Nanako stays to speak with Tadataka.[7]

Counselling Office Club Arc[]

Kiriha speaks with Tadataka and Nanako about her and Kazuya's idea of forming a club to deal with aberrations around the school. Though not joining the club themselves, they agree to help as collaborators and Tadataka lends them use of a room. The two show up to Kazuya's formation of the club with his friends to reaffirm their support. The both reveal that they have slowly begun to recover from their curse backlash, with Tadataka having grown a few strands of hair on his bald head which Shirou Shiramine laughs at.[8]

Upon learning that Mitsuri Mizushima was carrying an amasogi, Chisato speaks with Tadtaka to gather information on her and call her phone which does not respond. Tadataka give Kiriha his cell phone, and she and Kazuya rush to Mitsuri's house.[9]

Reversal Arc[]

Following the cases of an increasing amount of students being absent, Tadataka brings the club copies the class' attendance to help investigate and they identify the first victims of the permanent sleep spreading amongst students. After investigating their home to no avail, Kazuya deduces the culprit to be their teacher Isuzu Iriha. After Kazuya confronts her, Isuzu retreats into her dream world, falling asleep. The group brings Isuzu's body to her home where the find her amasogi pillow. While Bakura sends the other students in Isuzu's dream world, Tadataka remains with Kukuri and Bakura in the real world to keep watch.[10]
